Description: If there is a space character at the end of a path name, the subdirectories and files below it will be ignored.
Tags:
Steps To Reproduce: NOTE: Windows does not let you create a folder with a space at the end of its name.
1. On Mac, create a folder with a space at the end of its name.
2. Create a subfolder and put a sample file in it.
3. Compress the folder with a space in its name.
4. Copy the compressed file to the Windows PC
5. Uncompress the file into one of the Resonic libraries.

You will see the folder but you can't see the subfolder nor the sample file. I've attached an example compressed file.

Description: I was having major stability issues with Explorer following running Resonic the first time. After some troubleshooting, I've determined that Resonic's Explorer integration conflicts with NCH Software's Explorer integration for their audio conversion and transcription tools. When I uninstalled Resonic, Explorer immediately returned to normal functionality. When I uninstalled the NCH Software suite (on a hunch) and then reinstalled Resonic, the same issue has not been reproduced.

Summary: Software conflict – Changing the volume only attenuates the file
Description: SOFTWARE CONFLICT

I use a software called MouseMux to fool Windows into thinking I have two pointers. That a workaround to be able to use a touchscreen and not have the cursor jump from the place I left it with my mouse and the place I touched my touchscreen. The Windows implementation is really bad, so this is the only way I found that allows me to "comfortably" use it. But anyway…

There is an issue with the gain control in Resonic Pro, when I'm using "Switched input" mode. No matter which way I drag my mouse, the values only go down. When I change it back to "Native mode" (the way Windows handles is, so essentially bypassing the MouseMux) everything works fine.
Attached is the video presenting the problem. As first we have "Native input" mode and I drag my mouse up and down, which is reflected in the values.
Then I change the mode to "Switched input" (my default) and you can see that the values only go down, even though I'm doing the exact same movement with my mouse as before.

I know it's a complicated issue, and it's probably also in the MouseMux implementation, but I'd love it to be solved.
Or for Microsoft to finally start supporting multiple cursors and touchscreens properly.
Whichever's easiest, really.
Tags: annoying, behavior
Steps To Reproduce:  – Click and drag the gain in Resonic window
=> Works as intended, values can be positive or negative, depending on the direction the mouse is dragged
 – Install Mousemux from the official site: https://www.mousemux.com/, and launch it
 – Change the mode to Switched input
 – Click and drag the gain in Resonic windows
=> Values only go negative, no matter which way the mouse is dragged

Confirmed for installed versions:

For me:

0.9.4 opens, changes folder, does not list files, does not play first file

When started via cmdline all versions seem fine.

For MSI setups we _never_ overwrite current user (HKCU) file association defaults like other programs do.
They often simply grab your existing associations (VLC is a good example) which I find unnerving.

We merely register the new associations and everything that is required so that Windows can see that Resonic supports certain file types.

If you want to open them with Resonic you have to "Open with" and "Always open with" Resonic.

So far this is the only non-hacky way to offer a non-invasive file associations support.
I'll see if this could possibly be extended in future versions.

Besides, Resonic is also registered as "Default app" for music playback. You have to pick it though.
Once you do, all file associations that can be used will be used.

There are a few places where you can set defaults. Default apps, defaults per file type, and defaults per program.

[metadata]
Pro: Initial key metadata is now reported as free-form in a separate column ('Initial Key'),
in addition to the 'Musical Key' column which continues to be the initial key in musical format.
  (thanks: wayfinder)

[metadata]
Pro: 'Open Key' notation support.
Will show up in 'Initial Key' column, and in 'Musical Key' column as a musical translation.
The 'Open Key' notation is in use by major DJ software like Traktor or Rekordbox.
Note that 'Camelot' notation will never be displayed nor written or used in any other way or form
 due to bizarre licensing restrictions.

in Resonic (R) :
-browse the first file : play it

Resonic Player:
Summary: Drag&drop to Reaper while having its reference
Description: First of all: it's related to v0.9.4, build 1912

Similar to the option "Copy as Reaper media" it would be cool to have the option to be able to have drag&drop files behave the same as "Copy as Reaper media", but with drag&drop. Means:

- I enable an option in the settings like "Drag&drop will create Reaper media item reference" or so
- I select an area of the audio
- I start drag&drop into Reaper
- a Reaper media item will be created, which is just a reference to the original file, like it would be with the "Copy as Reaper media" function

The meta panel shows info about what is embedded in the file right now.

Under "Tech Flags" or "Embedded" in later builds you can find Picture, or Pictures (latest build) to quickly see whether a picture is embedded.

The Picture Types enum is a detailed view of what type of picture is embedded and is not really meant to be shown. 03 would be front cover, 04 back cover, 08 artist, 20 soundminer cover, etc.

I marked this as a feature request.
